Prince Harry is likely to keep the Royal Household on its toes as new reports claim that no much has changed about the Duke’s feelings since he stepped down from his senior working position.
It was revealed that the Sussexes have no interest in returning to royal duties despite reports suggesting it. A friend of Harry’s shared that he continued to be “frustrated by the ‘men in grey suits’” and that he still expects an apology for how Meghan was treated in the family.
A royal expert warned that this would make Harry much riskier to have around the royals, especially King Charles.
“If he still feels as aggrieved as it is now reported, he is dangerous to the Royal Family as tens of millions saw Oprah and Spare had huge sales and the Sussexes are now, suddenly, in situ,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said.
Noting that Harry told BBC last year that he wants to have a reconciliation with his family especially after he learned of his father’s cancer diagnosis. The police protection case is also a conundrum for the monarch, who has a duty to the Crown. He cannot show direct favouritism to his son even if he is concerned for Harry and his children’s well-being.
The expert cited that Harry believes “reconciliation requires accountability, but the Royal Family will never publicly apologise”.
“It is significant however that the most memorable quote is Queen Elizabeth’s response ‘some recollections may vary as people just don’t trust the Sussexes and with reason’.”
