KARACHI – In the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans defeated Rawalpindiz by six wickets, handing them their eighth consecutive loss.
In the 31st match played at the National Stadium Karachi, Multan Sultans successfully chased the 167-run target in 18.4 overs, losing four wickets.
For Sultans, Steven Smith led the scoring with 56 runs, while captain Ashton Turner remained unbeaten on 37. Sahibzada Farhan and Shan Masood scored 20 runs each, while Josh Philippe made 17.
For Rawalpindi, Asif Afridi took two wickets, while Saad Masood and Razaullah picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Rawalpindi opted to bat first and posted 166/4 in their allotted overs.
Daryl Mitchell top-scored with an unbeaten 58, while Dane Forrester remained not out on 37. Other contributions came from Sam Billings (29), captain Mohammad Rizwan (26), Yasir Khan (4), and Shahzaib Khan (0).
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Wasim, Arafat Minhas, and Peter Siddle claimed one wicket each.
