TA-125, TA-35 Surge to All-Time High Amid Regional Tensions
The escalating conflict in the Middle East between US-Israel and Iran isn’t a matter of concern for investors in Tel Aviv.
While tensions have heightened across the region after the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a joint operation by US and Israel, investors seem immune to ballistic missiles whirring and whizzing in the skies and columns of grey and black smoke billowing from hit sites.
The benchmark indices of Israel stock market have hit a record high. TA-125 index, a stock market index of the 125 most highly capitalized companies listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, surged 4.75 per cent to 4,268.43. While another prominent index TA-35 jumped 4.16 per cent to 4,318.50.
A foreign outlet named Trading Economics said that investors interpreted the situation as a developmental situation where Iran’s threat to Israel could significantly decrease, driving up domestic stocks, despite the geopolitical uncertainty increasing due to this incident.
Attack on Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura Refinery
High-resolution satellite images have revealed visible structural damage at Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura oil refinery following what authorities describe as an Iranian drone attack, highlighting the scale of the strike on one of the world’s most critical energy hubs.
The imagery shows burn scars, impact zones and damaged sections of infrastructure at the Aramco-operated facility on the Persian Gulf. Ras Tanura processes millions of barrels of crude daily and serves as a cornerstone of Saudi oil exports. Analysts say the strike is likely to send shockwaves through global energy markets already strained by regional instability.
