Note that the left column is identical to that in Fig. 9. As described in section 2c, environmental variables along the TC tracks are used for the Lagrangian approach. Monthly-averaged environmental variables during the TC seasons (i.e., July–October in the Northern Hemisphere and December–March in the Southern Hemisphere) are used for the Eulerian approach.
