A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan arrived in Lahore to meet Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday.
The MQM delegation will consist of Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar and will be headed by convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. They will discuss upcoming general elections and new political alignment.
There will be a discussion on the possibility of an election alliance of PMLN including MQM-P, Grand Democratic Alliance, and Jamiat-e-Ulema Fazal in Sindh.

The MQM was sent an invitation to meet by Shehbaz Sharif on behalf of Nawaz. Nawaz Sharif has decided to create a broad consensus among all political parties.
This decision has been taken to create an atmosphere where elections can be held in a peaceful and transparent manner.
