NEW DELHI: With crores of people showing keen interest in India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission as they watched its historic landing at the Moon’s south pole on August 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, urged people, especially students, to participate in the ongoing Chandrayaan-3 MahaQuiz even as he expressed happiness that till now over 15 lakh people have already enrolled for the competition, whichitself is a record, reports Surendra Singh.
On the 105th episode of his his radio show, Modi said, “I have received countless letters from every part of the country, across every section of the society, and people of all ages. When the lander of Chandrayaan-3 was about to land on the Moon, crores of people were simultaneously witnessing each and every moment of this event through different mediums. More than 80 lakh people watched this incident on Isro’s YouTube Live Channel; which is a record in itself. This conveys how deep the attachment of crores of Indians is to Chandrayaan-3.”
On the mega quiz, the PM said, “On this success of Chandrayaan, a wonderful quiz competition is going on in the country these days… and it has been named ‘Chandrayaan-3 MahaQuiz’. So far, more than 15 lakh people have participated in this competition being held on MyGov portal. This is the largest participation in any quiz after the launch of MyGov.”
“I would also suggest that if you have not yet participated in it, do not delay, there are still six more days left. Do take part in this quiz,” he added.
On August 23, India scripted history after the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Chandrayaan-3 soft-landed at the south pole of the Moon.
How to participate in the quiz
Chandrayaan-3 MahaQuiz comprises 10 MCQ-type questions, which can be attempted in five minutes. Candidates who successfully complete the quiz would receive an e-certificate. There are additional cash prizes for candidates who attempt all the quiz questions correctly. A candidate can attempt the quiz only once.
To participate in the MahaQuiz, citizens need to create an individual account on MyGov.
Steps to register:
– Click on https://isroquiz.mygov.in
– Click on the button “Participate Now”
– Enter details such as name, mobile, DOB, email ID, gender, country, state and district
– Click on “Proceed”
– An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number
– Input the OTP and start the quiz
