Welcoming the ceasefire reached between the US, Israel and Iran, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that he was excited about it. In a tweet, he thanked the US and Iranian leadership for making this happen, and expressed the hope that the world would hear more such good news in days to come.
The prime minister also hoped that the warring sides would go ahead with negotiations for the resolution of issues.
“The ceasefire has taken effect immediately,” he said, adding, “I invite delegations to come to Islamabad on April 10 for the talks.”
He said he was optimistic that there would be a positive outcome of Islamabad talks.
