Pakistani social media star Sahar Hayat has made shocking revelations about her marital life, igniting fresh debate on social media. In recent statements, she claimed that her former husband, Sameer Rasheed, not only mistreated her but also subjected her to physical abuse.
Sahar Hayat married Sameer Rasheed in 2023, but the marriage did not last long, and they finalized their divorce in 2025. While early reports hinted at disagreements between the couple, Sahar has now openly discussed the reasons for their separation.
In videos shared on social media, she alleged that she was often threatened with divorce, humiliated in front of family, and verbally abused. She further revealed that the abuse escalated to physical violence on two occasions: once when she was eight months pregnant, and another time when she was leaving the house.
Sahar also disclosed that she faced deception from the start of the marriage. She claimed that the initially agreed dowry (Mahr) of 2 million rupees was reduced to only 500,000 at the time of the Nikah, with misleading public announcements. Despite this, she tried to save the marriage and build a stable life.
In response, Sameer Rasheed accused Sahar Hayat of inappropriate behavior toward his parents, and both sides have continued issuing statements since.
