The Punjab School Education Department has ordered the immediate evacuation and sealing of school buildings declared dangerous and partially dangerous across the province.
In this regard, the Punjab School Education Department has issued a formal letter to all district authorities. According to the letter, students will not be allowed to enter dangerous buildings under any circumstances, nor will they be allowed to sit or teach in such buildings.
The department has directed that clear signboards be displayed on all dangerous or partially dangerous government school buildings to avoid any untoward incident.
The letter has clarified that if any incident occurs to students, the responsibility will lie with the concerned District Education Authority and the head teacher of the school.
Officials say that this step has been taken to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the students and to prevent possible accidents.
