Different sections of the motorway in Punjab were closed for traffic on Thursday on account of fog. M-2 was closed from Lahore to Kot Momin for traffic, while M-11, connecting Lahore to Sialkot, was also closed after fog reduced visibility considerably.
Similarly, M-3 from Faizpur to Darkhana and M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad was closed.
Motorway Police requested the people to avoid travelling unnecessarily, and travel during daytime, if it was really necessary. “Safest hours for travelling are between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM,” the Force said.
