Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, and IG Islamabad visited the Tarlai Kalan Imambargah Friday and offered prayers there in a show of resilience and solidarity against terrorism. The prayer was led by the same Imam who led the congregation during the incident, with a large number of locals joining, many visibly in tears.
After the prayer, grieving residents raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad,” demonstrating national solidarity in the face of terrorism.
Mohsin Naqvi described the attack as an assault not on a particular community but on the unity and humanity of Pakistan.
He said that the state stands firmly with the families of the martyrs, and the best possible medical care is being provided to the injured.
“Mosques and places of worship are sacred, and attacks on peace are intolerable,” Naqvi said, adding that the aim of terrorists is to spread fear and division, while Pakistan’s response remains unity and resilience.
He urged the public to avoid rumors and play a responsible civic role, assuring that security forces are on high alert and those responsible will be brought to justice.
Necessary steps are being taken across the capital to maintain law and order, the Interior Minister confirmed.
