Pakistan has made an important step towards the introduction of 5G services, with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announcing that the auction of the 5G spectrum will be held on March 10.
According to a spokesperson for the PTA, the decision to conduct the spectrum auction on March 10 follows extensive consultations with all relevant stakeholders, aimed at ensuring a transparent, competitive and inclusive process.
The spokesperson said the final and approved timeline has been carefully designed to provide telecom operators and potential bidders with sufficient time to complete preparations.
