The Punjab government has approved a budget of Rs300 million for the purchase of electric bikes and laptops for the players of Khelta Punjab Games.
In this regard, the Punjab government has given formal permission to provide supplementary grant.
The project had been approved earlier and now the funds have also been approved.
The Punjab Finance Department will release Rs300 million for the purchase of 980 e-bikes.
The G2G model e-bikes will be obtained from Wah Industry.
More than 600 laptops will be given to successful players under the age of 18.
The laptops will be provided under the Chief Minister Laptop Program.
After the approval of the funds, the process of purchase and distribution will be started soon.
