In its ruling, the apex court noted that the High Court judge failed to account for the absence of a meeting between the chief election commissioner and the chief justice, a crucial factor in the deliberation.
Supreme Court urged caution in cases that involve constitutional bodies, highlighting the importance of proper protocol in such matters. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail also added an additional note to the ruling, which received agreement from Justice Aqeel Abbasi.
