Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the dangerous regional escalation following the Israeli attack on Iran and subsequent developments in the Gulf region.The prime minister conveyed Pakistan’s position during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday.
Pakistan Stands in Solidarity
In a post on social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and brotherly Gulf countries during what he described as a perilous time for the region.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability, expressing readiness to play a constructive role in de-escalating tensions.
Call for Calm During Ramadan
The prime minister also prayed that the blessings of Ramadan bring calm, restraint and stability to the region amid growing uncertainty.
His remarks come as tensions rise across the Middle East, prompting diplomatic outreach among regional leaders to prevent further escalation.
