Catherine O’Hara opened up about her most favourite role before her sad demise.
As fans will be aware, O’Hara has died at the age of 71 on 30th January 2026.
Back in February 2024, Catherine O’Hara shared that the role she hoped to be remembered for most had nothing to do with acting.
As per TMZ, the beloved actress was asked during an interview about her favourite role of all time. Rather than naming one of her iconic characters, O’Hara made it clear that her proudest work was being the “mother of my children.”
When the interviewer clarified that he meant her acting roles, O’Hara cheekily gestured toward her husband and quipped, “His wife,” showing off her trademark wit.
It is noteworthy that the Home Alone star largely kept her family life out of the spotlight prior to her death and consistently prioritised quality time with her loved ones over her career while raising her sons.
Recently, Macaulay Culkin, penned a heartfelt tribute to his on-screen late mother on his Instagram along with a carousel of side-by-side photos of himself and O’Hara in Home Alone and in 2023.
“Mama. I thought we had time,” he penned.
“I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say,” he captioned.
“I love you. I’ll see you later.”
