Caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Yar Muhammad Nasir has directed all relevant departments including Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority and Rescue 1122 to remain alert in view of the recent spell of rain and snowfall in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In a statement, he instructed to take timely steps to clear snow from the highways and roads in all affected districts.
The Caretaker Chief Minister also directed to utilize all available resources and ensure timely provision of relief to the earthquake victims to reduce the difficulties being faced due to snowfall.
