ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan’s women’s futsal team recorded their first-ever victory at the international level on Tuesday, defeating Sri Lanka 3–2 at the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship in Thailand, officials said.
The win marked a historic moment for Pakistan in international women’s futsal. Forward Aizwa Chaudhry led the scoring with a hat-trick, playing a decisive role in a closely contested match.
Pakistan held their nerve in the final stages to secure the victory after a tense encounter, earning their maiden win in the tournament. The SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship is currently underway in Thailand, featuring teams from across South Asia.
