New Commercial LPG Cylinder Price In India From January 1, 2026.
Commercial LPG prices have kicked off the New Year on a higher note, with oil marketing companies raising the cost of 19-kg cylinders from January 1, 2026. The increase, amounting to Rs 111 per cylinder, applies exclusively to commercial LPG and does not affect domestic household cylinders.
With the latest revision, businesses will now pay Rs 1,691.50 for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi, compared with Rs 1,580.50 earlier. In Kolkata, prices have moved up to Rs 1,795 from the previous Rs 1,684. Mumbai has also seen a similar jump, with rates rising to Rs 1,642.50 from Rs 1,531.50.
Chennai remains the costliest among the major metros, where the price of a 19-kg cylinder has been increased to Rs 1,849.50, up from Rs 1,739.50. The hike is expected to add to input costs for restaurants, hotels and other commercial establishments that rely heavily on LPG for daily operations.
Meanwhile, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), India’s leading CNG retailer, has announced a substantial reduction in its domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) prices for this coming New Year for its consumers in Delhi and NCR by Rs 0.70 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM).
The revised price after reduction shall be Rs 47.89 per SCM in Delhi, Rs 46.70 per SCM in Gurugram and Rs 47.76 per SCM in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
IGL operates city gas distribution (CGD) networks across 30 districts in 11 geographical areas across four states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
The government aims to have 12.5 crore PNG connections by 2030 in rural and urban areas.
