The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the window for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), providing clarity on the schedule as the league prepares for a landmark phase in its history.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that HBL PSL 11 will be staged from 26 March to 3 May, 2026, placing Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament firmly in the international cricket calendar. The announcement allows franchises, players, broadcasters and commercial partners to begin detailed planning well in advance.
The confirmation of the PSL 11 window is a significant step as the league moves towards its next stage of expansion. In a major development, the PCB will host the New Teams Auction on 8 January, 2026, at the Islamabad Convention Centre, where the rights for two new HBL PSL franchises will be put up for sale. This expansion is expected to broaden the league’s reach, increase competitiveness and further strengthen its commercial appeal.
The PCB has confirmed that the auction will be broadcast live, ensuring transparency while offering global visibility to potential investors and cricket fans. The move reflects the board’s commitment to open governance and its ambition to attract international stakeholders to the PSL ecosystem.
Over the years, the HBL PSL has continued to generate strong interest from around the world, underlining its growing commercial strength, expanding global footprint and long-term growth potential. According to the PCB, recent discussions with international partners and investors have reinforced confidence in the league’s sustainable business model and its positioning among the world’s leading T20 competitions.
Since its inception, the PSL has earned recognition for producing high-quality cricket, maintaining competitive balance, and playing a key role in the development of elite international and domestic talent. Numerous Pakistan and overseas players have used the platform to launch or revive their careers, further enhancing the league’s reputation.
As preparations gather pace for PSL 11, the combination of a confirmed window and franchise expansion signals an ambitious future for the tournament. With increased teams, wider reach and sustained international interest, the HBL PSL is poised to strengthen its status as one of the premier global T20 leagues in the years to come.
