The announcement came during a PSL roadshow in New York, marking the first time in the league’s history that such an event was held in the United States.
Speaking at the event, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi revealed key details about the upcoming season.
He confirmed that the tournament will kick off on March 26, with the final scheduled for May 3.
Naqvi also announced that Faisalabad will host 11 matches during PSL 11, highlighting the city’s growing role in the league’s expansion.
According to the PCB chairman, the date for the auction of new teams has been set for January 8, following an extension in the deadline for submitting bids.
Naqvi said the PCB and PSL management were making every possible effort to make the league a global success, adding that investment in the PSL continues to deliver strong returns.
He reiterated his commitment to turning the PSL into the world’s leading cricket league.
Following a successful roadshow in England, the HBL Pakistan Super League roadshow was held in New York for the first time.
The initiative aimed to attract international investors ahead of the sale of two new PSL teams on January 8.
Besides Mohsin Naqvi, the New York roadshow was attended by Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Saud Shakeel and Shan Masood, as well as former captains Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, also attended the event.
On the occasion, cricketers Shan Masood, Salman Ali Agha and Saud Shakeel shared their experiences of playing in the PSL, while Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf and Saim Ayub highlighted the league’s importance.
Former captain Ramiz Raja said the PSL provides young Pakistani cricketers with the opportunity to compete alongside international players, while Wasim Akram described the league as a major source of entertainment for cricket fans in Pakistan.
During the roadshow, officials also announced plans to redevelop Karachi’s National Stadium, as well as to upgrade stadiums in Muzaffarabad and Hyderabad.
