In Lahore’s Barki area, two arrested suspects, identified as Ahmed and Nadeem, were killed during an alleged encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) police.
Police stated that the suspects were being taken to Barki for recovery when their accomplices opened fire in an attempt to free them.
During the resulting crossfire, both suspects lost their lives. Their bodies were later shifted to the morgue following legal procedures.
Meanwhile, in Faisalabad, a drug dealer named Ghulam Murtaza was injured during an encounter with Razaabad police.
Murtaza, arrested in a rape case, reportedly revealed his involvement in drug trafficking during investigations.
The police were taking the accused Ghulam Murtaza to recover ice where his accomplices attacked the police near Kokianwala and accused Ghulam Murtaza received bullet injuries in the firing of the attackers who fled after firing.
The injured accused was shifted to the hospital and the search for the attackers is on.
