PTI is preparing a major show of strength in Peshawar on Sunday, with party leaders claiming they plan to bring around 17,000 workers to the rally.
The rally strategy was finalised during a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House on Saturday, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
PTI office-bearers and lawmakers from Peshawar attended the meeting, where concerns were raised over low turnout at the party’s previous gathering on November 26.
Party leaders from Peshawar reportedly took responsibility for the poor mobilization during the earlier “Black Day” rally.
Former provincial minister Taimur Jhagra promised to bring 2,500 workers, while other PTI lawmakers pledged to mobilize around 1,000 participants each from their constituencies.
PTI Peshawar president Irfan Saleem said the meeting finalised the organisational and mobilisation plan for the rally.
