Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar, in which three terrorists were killed while three FC personnel embraced martyrdom.
The Chief Minister visited Lady Reading Hospital to check on the condition of the injured and spoke to the media, praising the bravery of the FC personnel. “Our forces fought the terrorists with great courage. Our resolve will not weaken—we will continue this fight against terrorism,” he said.
CM Afridi added that further measures were being taken to strengthen security across the province. “We are procuring modern equipment, and the Counter-Terrorism Department has already been provided with bulletproof vehicles,” he noted.
He emphasized that terrorists have long sought to disrupt peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan. “Their only aim is to destabilize the country. Those who harm Pakistan’s peace are enemies of the nation, and we will not allow them to succeed,” he said.
Later, the Chief Minister attended the funeral prayers of the FC martyrs at the Federal Constabulary Headquarters, paying rich tribute to the fallen personnel and calling their sacrifices a national asset.
He reaffirmed that the provincial government stands firmly with the families of the martyrs.
“Their sacrifices strengthen our resolve to eliminate terrorism,” CM Afridi remarked.
