LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to Fakhar Zaman for tweeting about Babar Azam’s omission from the team.
Fakhar Zaman had strongly criticized the selection committee’s decision to drop Babar Azam for the second and third Test matches against England.
The left-handed top-order batsman expressed his concern over the news of Babar Azam’s exclusion in a post on the social media platform X.
In his post, he noted that India had not dropped Virat Kohli despite his poor form over three years from 2020 to 2023.
Fakhar Zaman has been given seven days to submit an explanation regarding his statement.
